Charlotte Fox Morgan |
Charlotte Fox born in Canada around September 12, 1800. I have yet to identified her parents. She married David Morgan in Louth, Ontario. They are recorded in the 1861 Ontario Census in Louth, Ontario. By 1870, David has died and Charlotte has immigrated to Michigan where she is living with her daughter Susan Hayner in Romeo. She is still residing with the Hayner family in Romeo at the time of the 1880 census as well in Romeo.
She died on February 10, 1882 and is buried in the Romeo Cemetery. Charlotte's stone is two pieces. The top piece read Charlotte wife of David Morgan and the bottom states that she died on February 10, 1882 at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 28 days. All those years of living in Romeo, I wish I had known that we had relatives in this cemetery. Now that I am living in Michigan, I plan to visit this cemetery next summer.

David Morgan |
This photo is of David Morgan, Charlotte's husband. Charlotte and David had three daughters all born in Louth Ontario. They were Dorothy, Susan and Charlotte. Dorothy and Susan married Hayner brothers, Robert Wesley and Thomas Hayner. Both of these young Hayner families settled in Michigan. I am a descendant of the Robert Wesley linage.
Happy Hunting,
Jan
