Nettie Mae McLaughlin was born on October 22, 1915 in Thermopolis, Hot Springs, Wyoming. She is the daughter of Robert McLaughlin and Nackey Jane
Steward. They had three children; Roy (1908), Sarah (1912), and Nettie (1915).
Nettie Mae married Wallace Losee in Rantoul, Illinois on December 8, 1940. Nettie and Wallace had three children; Theresa Ann (1943), Cecelia and a son. They remained in the Champaign area where Wallace worked at White Line Laundry after serving for many years as an airplane mechanic in the Air Force.
Nettie Mae died on July 5, 1972. She was buried in Locust Cemetery in Champaign, Illinois.
