Maxine Claire Hainer was born in Iowa on April 2, 1908, the
daughter of Charles Edward Hainer and Hattie Louise Griffin. Charles and Hattie Hainer had seven children; Zora (1888), Verna (1890), Madge (1894), Helen (1899), Ford (1902), Sybil (1904), Maxine (1908). In the
1930 Census Maxine is living with her parents in Maquoketa, Iowa and
working as a bookkeeper for a Creamery. Maxine enlisted into Air
Force on August 9, 1943 at Fort Riley Kansas. She served until her
discharge on September 21, 1948. She then returned to Iowa and
settled in Branson. She died on October 27, 1964 and is buried in
section 33, site 607, of the Springfield Nation Cemetery in Green
County, Missouri. I will continue to try to obtain a of her tombstone.
This photo of the Charles and Hattie Hainer family was taken in 1934. Maxine is the second from the left seated in the front row.
