Tombstone Tuesday - March 29, 2016 - Orlo Hainer

Orlo Hainer

Orlo was born on April 6, 1865 in  Ovid, Clinton County, Michigan.  He was the son of Andrew and Corinthia (McCombs) Hainer.  They had five children; Jeanette(1858), Willford(1859), Martha(1861), Joseph(1862), Orlo(1865), Lou (1874) Dora Ann (1867), Benjamin(1869) . Orlo married Bessie Haven on December 20 1897, the marriage was witnessed by both parents, Andrew and Corinth Hainer and William and Mary Havens.  A divorce was granted to Bessie Hayner on April 29, 1899.  I do not find Orlo in the 1900 Federal Census. In 1905, Orlo married Netta Louise Moore Allenbaugh on February 22.  In the 1910 Federal Census, his occupation is listed as an Electrical Engineer for a power company living in Isabella County.  Living with him is his wife Netta and two of her children from a previous marriage,  Rolley and Floyd Allenbaugh and her widowed mother, Sarah Moore. By the 1920 Federal Census, Orlo and Netta have a boarder living with them. She is a 19 year old Sophia Hapner. (I can not help but wonder if this woman's name is Hayner. If so she is likely related.)  By the 1930 Census, Sophia is still living with them and is now 29 years old.

Orlo Hainer died on March 29, 1936 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan and is buried at Riverside Cemetery in the following location; Plot: Block 071, Lot 003, Space 2, SpotID 1752

Rest in peace,
